Curatorial Statement
I am an independent curator with a special focus on LGBTQ2S+ contemporary art and art histories. My interest in curating is motivated by the opportunity exhibitions offer to create and share knowledge with diverse audiences. I see exhibitions as vital sites that connect knowledge production with community building.
In my practice, I work with anti-oppressive and decolonized frameworks by employing curatorial methodologies informed by feminist, queer, and Indigenous scholarship. Collaboration is central to my practice — I am deeply motivated by collaborative learning, and my projects often centre on a shared approach to developing ideas with artists. In my exhibitions, I often aim to practice queer forms of placemaking and world-building, particularly ones that invite intergenerational exchange.
